April 18 is the deadline for submitting entries for the Community Achievement Awards (CAA). This annual competition is open to STC geographic communities, student communities, and Society-level special interest groups (SIGs) and recognizes exceptional accomplishments in meeting Society goals. All applications must be submitted electronically; hard copy notebooks will not be accepted. Submit applications and supporting materials by sending an e-mail with files as attachments to Elreatha Matthews, STC Education Manager.
Community leaders may download the Guidelines for Community Achievement Awards (AD-116-2007C) and entry form templates from the STC Web site. Community leaders should be aware of the kinds of activities and the quality of performance expected, as described in the guidelines. Three categories of achievement awards include: geographic community, virtual community, and student community. Each category recognizes levels of achievement: Merit, Excellence, and Distinction.
If you have any questions about the CAA evaluations, please contact Dale Erickson, Manager of the Community Achievement Award Evaluation Committee.
