Menno D.T. de Jong, PhD has been selected as the new Editor-in-Chief of Technical Communication, the quarterly, peer-reviewed journal of the Society for Technical Communication. Month at a Glance

In Your Mailbox from the STC Office

  • In May, the STC office began mailing press releases about the Society's new fellows and associate fellows to media outlets in relevant areas.
  • Final membership counts for the 2008 fiscal year will be mailed to chapter presidents at the beginning of July.
  • Dues rebates and chapter rosters will be sent to all chapter presidents, student chapter advisors, and members of the STC Board of Directors in early July.

Community Leaders' Monthly Reminders

May/June

  • Ask your chapter's tellers committee to announce the names of new officers at the installation-of-officers meeting.
  • Send a list of incoming officers to the STC office via fax at + 1 (703) 522-2075 or by e-mail to Lynn Anderson.
  • The Community Status Report form for the April 2008 period was e-mailed to all community leaders and is due May 12, 2008 to the STC office.
  • Chapter financial reports for student chapters are due by mail to the Society office (Attention: Chapter Financial Report) by June 15, 2008.
